Brownish transmission fluid....Help!!!?
You need to make sure it's not coolant.

There's no need for a flush with that car. You'll get close to 80% of the fluid out when you do a regular service and change the filter.
Brownish transmission fluid....Help!!!?
myself, i'm happy with 50% fresh fluid and a new filter. it's what i can do in the backyard for little money and as long as there is no major contamination it's fine.
If your fluid has changed from red to brown and smells burt then your tranny has gotten to hot. The fluid has failed and is no longer protecting parts. My suggestion is that you do the flush and filter. Don't be surprised if the tranny slips and doesn't catch gears like it did. Some of the internal parts might already be failed. Just take it easy on it and hopefuly it will last.
It wouldn't hert to get a flush. I would change the fluid then see what color it is .
Well you can get a flush and then in a couple of months you can change out the gasket and seals that go bad when you flush a tranny, or you can just drop the pan, change the fluid that comes out and change/clean the filter.

I never recommend a %26quot;flush%26quot; to any part of a car. Save the %26quot;flushes%26quot; for the toilet.
If it doesn't smell burnt, it's just overheated a bit. Get the usual drop-the-pan service instead of a full flush.
